About the Opportunity A role supporting organizations in the Manufacturing industry, operating across discrete and process production environments within the industrial supply chain sector. The position is focused on end-to-end materials planning, inventory accuracy, supplier fulfillment, and production support for on-site manufacturing operations across the United States.
Primary Job Title: Materials Manager — Supply Chain (Manufacturing)

Role &amp; Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Lead materials planning and execution for manufacturing lines: run MRP, release and expedite purchase orders, and manage receipts to meet production schedules.</li>
<li>Optimize inventory levels and accuracy through cycle counts, ABC analysis, safety stock tuning, and inventory turn improvement initiatives.</li>
<li>Manage supplier relationships and performance metrics—drive on-time delivery, quality compliance, and cost-effective sourcing with PO negotiation and corrective actions.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Production Planning, Procurement, Quality, and Engineering to resolve supply constraints and prioritize material allocation during demand peaks.</li>
<li>Implement continuous improvement practices (lean/Kanban) to reduce lead times, scrap, and expedite frequency while improving flow to wear-rate and takt targets.</li>
<li>Own materials team operations: hiring, training, KPI tracking (OTD, inventory accuracy), and compliance with safety and site policies.</li>
</ul>
Skills &amp; Qualifications Must-Have
<ul>
<li>SAP MM or Oracle ERP experience</li>
<li>MRP execution and PO lifecycle management</li>
<li>Inventory Management and cycle counting methodologies</li>
<li>Demand Planning and S&amp;OP collaboration</li>
<li>Supplier Management and Purchasing processes</li>
<li>Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting</li>
</ul>
Preferred
<ul>
<li>Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma exposure/certification</li>
<li>Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience</li>
<li>Experience in high-volume discrete or process manufacturing environments</li>
