ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a seasoned senior leader to head our Wealth Management function — a role that combines deep investment expertise with the operational and business leadership needed to scale a high-trust advisory business.

This individual will:
- Own investment philosophy, portfolio strategy, and regulatory compliance across our SEBI-registered investment advisory business
- Lead the advisory team and client operations end-to-end
- Drive product development across bonds, PMS, structured products, mutual funds, and AIFs
- Manage vendor relationships, compliance, and business growth levers

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
&nbsp;
1. Investment Strategy &amp; Portfolio Management
<ul>

Define and own the investment philosophy and asset allocation framework across client mandates
</li>
<li>
Lead portfolio construction, security selection, and risk-adjusted return strategy
</li>
<li>
Oversee advisory portfolios across discretionary and non-discretionary mandates
</li>
<li>
Ensure suitability, diversification, and client mandate alignment at all times
</li>
<li>
Build and maintain expertise across the full product spectrum:
</li>
<li>
Bonds &amp; Fixed Income — sovereign, corporate, G-Secs, tax-free bonds, NCDs
</li>

Portfolio Management Services (PMS) — equity, hybrid, and thematic strategies
</li>
<li>
Structured Products — market-linked debentures, capital-protected instruments, yield-enhancement products
</li>
<li>
Mutual Funds — active and passive, across equity, debt, and hybrid categories

AIFs — Category I, II, and III fund understanding and distribution
</li>

Insurance-linked products — ULIP structures, annuities as part of comprehensive wealth planning

2. Regulatory &amp; Compliance Oversight
<ul>

&nbsp;Ensure full compliance with SEBI Investment Advisor regulations, risk management norms, and disclosure standards
</li>
<li>
&nbsp;Maintain all client documentation — agreements, invoices, risk profiles — audit-ready at all times
</li>
<li>
&nbsp;Conduct and submit half-yearly and annual compliance audits to SEBI
</li>
<li>
&nbsp;Ensure all advisors on the team are SEBI-compliant and certified
</li>
<li>
&nbsp;Amend internal processes promptly when regulatory changes are issued
</li>

&nbsp;Liaise with SEBI, custodians, auditors, and external compliance counsel

3. Distribution Understanding &amp; Product Intelligence
<ul>

&nbsp;Develop deep distribution expertise across wealth products to support business positioning

&nbsp;Bonds — understand primary and secondary market mechanics, yield calculation, credit ratings, and suitable client profiles
</li>
<li>
&nbsp;PMS — client onboarding (min. ticket Rs. 50L), reporting structures, SEBI disclosures, and performance benchmarking
</li>
<li>
&nbsp;Structured Products — design principles, risk-return profiles, and suitability criteria for HNI/UHNI clients
</li>
<li>
&nbsp;Mutual Funds — fund categorisation, NAV mechanics, SIP/SWP/STP, ELSS, direct vs. regular plans
</li>
<li>
&nbsp;Collaborate with distribution partners, platforms, and third-party vendors to evaluate and expand product shelf
</li>
<li>
&nbsp;Regularly evaluate commercial terms, AUM-based payouts, trail structures, and revenue-sharing arrangements 
</li>

4. Research &amp; Risk Management
<ul>

&nbsp;Lead fundamental and macro research frameworks across asset classes
</li>
<li>
&nbsp;Implement risk controls, drawdown management frameworks, and performance attribution systems
</li>

&nbsp;Monitor portfolio performance versus benchmarks and client mandates
</li>

&nbsp;Publish investment notes, market commentaries, and client-facing factsheets
</li>

&nbsp;Maintain a clear view of the macroeconomic environment and translate insights into portfolio action

5. Advisory Team &amp; Client Operations Management

&nbsp;Oversee end-to-end client lifecycle — onboarding, advisory, follow-ups, renewals, and &nbsp; escalations

&nbsp;Manage and mentor a team of financial advisors and operations staff
</li>
<li>
&nbsp;Handle team hiring, training, and performance management
</li>
<li>
&nbsp;Set up CRM-driven follow-up processes to ensure timely client touchpoints

&nbsp;Manage distribution of client accounts during advisor transitions or exits
</li>

&nbsp;Get on calls with advisors to handle complex HNI and UHNI client situations
</li>

&nbsp;Maintain high renewal rates and client satisfaction scores

6. Lead Quality &amp; Business Growth
<ul>

&nbsp;Oversee lead quality management and evaluate lead sources for conversion efficiency

&nbsp;Analyse funnel drop-off rates and identify improvement levers at each stage

&nbsp;Evaluate advisory fee structures periodically to improve profitability

&nbsp;Forecast business performance based on lead quality and volume
</li>

&nbsp;Identify bottlenecks in the business and propose actionable growth initiatives
</li>

&nbsp;Collaborate with product, marketing, and content teams to drive brand authority in wealth management

7. Vendor Management
<ul>

&nbsp;Maintain and manage relationships with AMCs, bond platforms, structured product issuers, and other vendors
</li>
<li>
&nbsp;Reconcile revenue sheets and cross-check vendor data regularly
</li>
<li>
&nbsp;Raise invoices and ensure timely collection from vendors via the accounts team
</li>
<li>
&nbsp;Negotiate commercial terms with vendors periodically
</li>
<li>
&nbsp;Evaluate new vendors against business needs and regulatory standards
</li>

8. Product Development &amp; Institutional Credibility

MANDATORY REGULATORY QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Qualification (Any One):
- CA / CFA / CS / ICWA / MBA (Finance)
- Postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or Business Management

Mandatory Certification:
- NISM-Series-XXI-B – Portfolio Managers Certification (valid and active)
- Additional certifications such as CFP, CWM, or NISM Series V-A (Mutual Fund Distributors) are a plus
