<p><b>WHO THIS IS FOR</b><b></b></p>
<p>You're a civil defense litigator who wants to actually litigate — not supervise document review and wait years for courtroom time. You want an established firm with a consistent, diverse caseload, an open-door culture where you work alongside principals from day one, and a genuine partnership track backed by a 35-year record of promoting from within. Every current principal started as an associate.</p>
<p><b>WHAT YOU'LL DO</b><b></b></p>
<ul>
<li>Handle a full caseload of civil defense matters — construction, premises liability, personal injury defense, professional liability, civil rights, and insurance defense</li>
<li>Work directly with firm principals on case strategy, motions practice, depositions, and trial preparation</li>
<li>Draft discovery, dispositive motions, and pre-trial pleadings across multiple active files</li>
<li>Take and defend depositions and appear in state and federal court hearings</li>
<li>Participate in firm-sponsored continuing education, including the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers Trial Academy and IADC programs</li>
</ul>
<p><b>WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR</b><b></b></p>
<ul>
<li>3–6 years of civil defense litigation experience (required)</li>
<li>Active Missouri Bar license (required); Illinois bar admission is a plus</li>
<li>Construction law experience is a meaningful differentiator</li>
<li>Comfort managing a real caseload with billable targets of 165–200 hours/month</li>
<li>Collaborative, team-oriented attorney who wants to grow in a firm, not just through it</li>
</ul>
<p><b>IMPORTANT TO KNOW</b><b></b></p>
<p>Primarily in-office in downtown St. Louis (5 days to start; flexibility as you integrate). Year-end bonus: $3K–$20K based on billables. Annual profit share: 1–3%. 401(k) with 3% match.
