We are looking for a Head of AI Infrastructure Security to define and lead the security strategy across our AI platform, GPU infrastructure, cloud environments, and customer-facing services. This role will own the end-to-end security posture of our AI infrastructure, ensuring our platform remains secure, resilient, and compliant while enabling rapid innovation.
What You'll Do
Security Strategy &amp; Architecture
<ul>
<li>Define and own the security architecture for Nava's AI infrastructure, GPU clusters, cloud platforms, and control plane.</li>
<li>Establish security standards, policies, and governance frameworks across infrastructure, applications, and engineering teams.</li>
<li>Design security controls that enable secure multi-tenant AI infrastructure while maintaining performance and scalability.</li>
<li>Partner with Engineering and Product teams to embed security into platform architecture and software development lifecycles.</li>
</ul>
Infrastructure &amp; Platform Security
<ul>
<li>Secure GPU clusters, compute infrastructure, networking, storage, Kubernetes environments, and management systems.</li>
<li>Lead hardening initiatives across firmware, operating systems, virtualization layers, container platforms, APIs, and infrastructure services.</li>
<li>Protect tenant isolation and ensure strong identity, access management, and privilege controls across the platform.</li>
<li>Drive secure infrastructure provisioning through Infrastructure-as-Code and policy automation.</li>
</ul>
Threat Detection &amp; Incident Response
<ul>
<li>Build and lead security monitoring, detection, and response capabilities.</li>
<li>Develop processes for vulnerability management, threat intelligence, penetration testing, and continuous security assessments.</li>
<li>Lead incident response for security events, conduct forensic investigations, and drive root cause analysis.</li>
<li>Continuously improve security operations through automation, threat hunting, and proactive risk mitigation.</li>
</ul>
Governance, Risk &amp; Compliance
<ul>
<li>Own infrastructure security compliance across applicable global standards and customer requirements.</li>
<li>Partner with internal teams to support security audits, certifications, and customer due diligence.</li>
<li>Establish security policies, risk management frameworks, and operational controls aligned with industry best practices.</li>
<li>Drive security awareness and secure engineering practices across the organization.</li>
</ul>
Cross-Functional Leadership
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with Platform Engineering, GPU Cluster Engineering, Networking, SRE, Legal, Compliance, and Customer Success teams.</li>
<li>Act as the executive security advisor for infrastructure, customer deployments, and strategic initiatives.</li>
<li>Balance security requirements with operational efficiency and business objectives.</li>
</ul>
Team Leadership
<ul>
<li>Build and lead a high-performing Infrastructure Security organization.</li>
<li>Mentor security engineers and technical leaders.</li>
<li>Foster a security-first engineering culture through education, automation, and continuous improvement.</li>
</ul>
What We're Looking For
<ul>
<li>12+ years of experience in Infrastructure Security, Cloud Security, Cybersecurity, or Platform Security.</li>
<li>Proven experience leading security programs for large-scale cloud, infrastructure, or distributed systems.</li>
<li>Deep expertise in the following areas:</li>
<ul>
<li>Cloud and infrastructure security</li>
<li>Kubernetes and container security</li>
<li>Linux systems security</li>
<li>Network security and segmentation</li>
<li>Identity and Access Management (IAM)</li>
<li>Zero Trust architecture</li>
<li>Security Operations (SOC), SIEM, and threat detection</li>
<li>Infrastructure hardening and vulnerability management</li>
</ul>
<li>Experience designing secure multi-tenant platforms and protecting customer workloads.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of secure software development and DevSecOps practices.</li>
<li>Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.</li>
</ul>
Nice to Have
<ul>
<li>Experience securing AI infrastructure, GPU clusters, HPC environments, or cloud-native platforms.</li>
<li>Familiarity with NVIDIA GPU ecosystems, Kubernetes, RDMA/InfiniBand networking, confidential computing, and hardware security.</li>
<li>Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or similar security and compliance frameworks.</li>
<li>Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, or GIAC are an advantage.</li>
