We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative&nbsp;Senior&nbsp;Mechanical Design Engineer with a minimum&nbsp;of 4 years of experience&nbsp;to join our dynamic Research &amp; Development team. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive background in mechanical design and engineering principles, with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement cutting-edge products and solutions. The role involves the end-to-end design process, from initial concept through to production, including the prototyping and testing of mechanical components and systems to meet project requirements and company standards.
Responsibilities :
<ul>
<li>Generate innovative mechanical designs that meet project specifications and&nbsp;performance criteria. Employ CAD software (SolidWorks, Solidedge) to create detailed&nbsp;3D models and engineering drawings using ASME Y14.5 standard.</li>
<li>Conduct brainstorming sessions and design reviews to develop creative solutions to&nbsp;complex mechanical challenges.</li>
<li>Perform feasibility studies to evaluate the technical and economic viability of new product&nbsp;ideas. Conduct risk assessments and identify potential challenges and mitigation&nbsp;strategies.</li>
<li>Develop product specifications and requirements based on market research and&nbsp;stakeholder inputs. Create detailed product requirement documents and technical&nbsp;specifications that guide the design and development process.</li>
<li>Create and maintain BOMs associated with engineering drawings.</li>
<li>Develop detailed designs of mechanical components and assemblies. Ensure that&nbsp;designs are optimized for manufacturability, assembly, and performance. Select&nbsp;appropriate materials and finishes for components based on their functional&nbsp;requirements.</li>
<li>Ensure that designs are optimized for manufacturability, assembly, and cost efficiency.</li>
<li>Work closely with manufacturing teams to develop production processes and identify&nbsp;opportunities for automation and cost reduction.</li>
<li>Create tolerance analyses and conduct failure mode and effects analyses (FMEA) to&nbsp;ensure robustness.</li>
<li>Build physical prototypes using various techniques, such as CNC machining, 3D printing,and traditional fabrication methods. Oversee the fabrication process, ensuring prototypesare built to specification. Work with suppliers and in-house fabrication teams to source&nbsp;and manufacture prototype components.</li>
<li>&nbsp;Conduct thorough testing of prototypes to validate design concepts. Use analytical tools and techniques (e.g. FEA) to simulate operating conditions and predict performance.Design and execute test plans, including environmental, durability, and performance&nbsp;testing. Document test procedures and results, and perform root cause analysis on any failures.</li>
<li>Refine designs based on test feedback and performance data. Implement changes to&nbsp;improve functionality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Maintain detailed records of&nbsp;design iterations and changes made during the prototyping phase.</li>
<li>Work on the integration of mechanical systems with electrical, software, and other&nbsp;subsystems. Ensure cohesive functioning of the complete system by collaborating closely&nbsp;with interdisciplinary teams. Develop system-level design documentation, including&nbsp;schematics, flowcharts. Ensure that mechanical designs are compatible with electronic and software components..</li>
<li>&nbsp;Identify opportunities for design improvements, including performance enhancements, weight reduction, and cost savings. Use tools like DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and&nbsp;Effects Analysis) to systematically analyze potential failures and implement design&nbsp;changes.</li>
<li>Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and milestones.&nbsp;Track project progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure timely delivery.</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare for product launch. Develop and&nbsp;execute product launch plans, including production ramp-up, quality control, and supply&nbsp;chain coordination. Provide technical support during the initial production phase to&nbsp;address any issues that arise.</li>
<li>Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including detailed design reports,engineering specifications etc. Maintain accurate records of design iterations,modifications, and test results.</li>
