Role: Software Development Engineer (Backend)
Location:&nbsp;Mumbai - Vikhroli Work Model:&nbsp;5 Days (Work from Office) Experience:&nbsp;3–6 Years
Role Overview
We are looking for a strong Backend Engineer with deep expertise in&nbsp;Node.js and TypeScript&nbsp;to build and scale high-performance systems for a product-based environment. The role involves working on core backend architecture, APIs, and scalable services.
Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Design and develop scalable backend systems using&nbsp;Node.js and TypeScript</li>
<li>Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices</li>
<li>Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of applications</li>
<li>Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams for end-to-end delivery</li>
<li>Write clean, maintainable, and testable code</li>
<li>Participate in system design and architecture discussions</li>
<li>Proficiency in Node.js, and TypeScript, APIs, databases.</li>
<li>&nbsp;Experience working with and building backend systems that have been used in the real world.</li>
<li>&nbsp;Ability to navigate different stages of product development – from scrappy MVPs to scalable architectures.</li>
</ul>
Must-Have Requirements
<ul>
<li>3–6 years of backend development experience</li>
<li>Strong hands-on expertise in&nbsp;Node.js</li>
<li>Strong proficiency in&nbsp;TypeScript</li>
<li>Solid understanding of APIs, backend architecture, and system design basics</li>
<li>Experience working in&nbsp;product-based companies&nbsp;(mandatory)</li>
<li>Good problem-solving skills and understanding of data structures</li>
</ul>
Good to Have
<ul>
<li>Experience with&nbsp;NestJS</li>
<li>Exposure to microservices architecture</li>
<li>Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)</li>
<li>Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines</li>
</ul>
Candidate Profile
<ul>
<li>Open to&nbsp;relocation to Mumbai&nbsp;if currently based elsewhere</li>
<li>Preference for candidates who have worked across&nbsp;multiple cities/locations, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability</li>
<li>Comfortable with&nbsp;5-day work-from-office setup</li>
<li>Strong ownership mindset and ability to work in fast-paced product environments</li>
</ul>

<li>Candidates who have spent their entire career in a single city without relocation exposure may not be ideal for this role</li>
<li>Immediate or Seving to 60-day notice period candidates preferred</li>
