Job Summary:
The Senior Python Developer will play a critical role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing backend systems for a client-facing transaction portal. This position offers hands-on experience in Python backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, and Django REST, with exposure to asynchronous processing, message queues, and high-volume transaction handling. The role is ideal for candidates passionate about clean coding, scalable backend architecture, secure development, and production support.
Key Responsibilities:

<li>Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django REST).</li>
<li>Transaction &amp; Concurrency Handling: Implement reliable, idempotent transaction flows and manage asynchronous processes using queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ).</li>
<li>Production Support &amp; Incident Management: Own, triage, and resolve production incidents with urgency and within SLA.</li>
<li>Codebase Ownership: Quickly onboard into complex backend systems and independently deliver fixes and enhancements.</li>
<li>Testing &amp; Quality Assurance: Develop automated tests and monitor system health to ensure reliability and maintainability.</li>
<li>Performance &amp; Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in system performance, scalability, and security.</li>
<li>Secure Development Practices: Follow Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) with proper documentation and remediate vulnerabilities from scans or audits.</li>
<li>Monitoring &amp; Debugging: Use tools like Kibana and Grafana to monitor production systems and troubleshoot issues.</li>
<li>Collaboration: Work closely with frontend (Angular), QA, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable end-to-end solutions.</li>
<li>On-call Support &amp; RCA: Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to post-incident Root Cause Analysis.</li>

Required Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.</li>
<li>Technical Expertise: Strong experience in Python backend development, including FastAPI, Flask, or Django REST frameworks.</li>
<li>Database Knowledge: Expertise in PostgreSQL or MySQL, including design, optimization, and performance tuning.</li>
<li>Transaction &amp; Async Processing: Experience handling transactional systems, concurrency, idempotency, and asynchronous processing with queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ).</li>
<li>Testing &amp; Monitoring: Proficiency in automated testing and monitoring tools (Kibana/Grafana).</li>
<li>Security &amp; SSDLC: Familiarity with secure coding practices, vulnerability remediation, and SSDLC adherence.</li>
<li>Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, especially in production-critical systems.</li>
<li>Collaboration &amp; Communication: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical solutions clearly.</li>
<li>Work Ethic: Strong ownership mindset, can-do attitude, and ability to work under pressure.</li>
