We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle DBA to lead the administration, optimization, and security of our Oracle database landscape, including mission-critical systems supporting enterprise applications like SAP. This role requires deep Oracle expertise, along with exposure to SAP Basis-related database administration to support SAP environments running on Oracle.The ideal candidate brings a strong background in Oracle database technologies, high availability architecture, and hands-on experience with SAP-Oracle integration or collaboration with SAP Basis teams. Key Responsibilities:

<li>Administer, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot multiple Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 19c, 21c) in production, development, and QA environments.</li>
<li>Perform installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations (including platform and cross-version migrations).</li>
<li>Optimize database performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and advanced tuning techniques.</li>
<li>Manage high availability and disaster recovery configurations using Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.</li>
<li>Implement and test robust backup/recovery strategies using RMAN and/or third-party tools.</li>
<li>Automate administrative tasks and reporting using shell scripting, PL/SQL, or Python.</li>
<li>Collaborate with SAP Basis team to support SAP systems using Oracle, including performance tuning and backup coordination.</li>
<li>Ensure database compliance with security, audit, and regulatory standards (SOX, ISO, etc.).</li>
<li>Participate in capacity planning, infrastructure scaling, and cloud database strategy (OCI, AWS RDS, etc.).</li>
<li>Lead database initiatives such as cloud adoption, consolidation, and disaster recovery planning.</li>
<li>Provide 24x7 support for critical systems and assist in root cause analysis for database-related incidents.</li>
</ul>
Required Skills and Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.</li>
<li>6+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in large-scale, enterprise-grade environments.</li>
<li>Strong hands-on expertise in:</li>
<li>Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN</li>
<li>Performance tuning (SQL, instance-level)</li>
<li>Backup/recovery and storage management</li>
<li>Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and diagnostics</li>
<li>Solid understanding of Linux/Unix environments, scripting, and automation.</li>
<li>Experience in both on-prem and cloud-based Oracle DB setups.</li>
</ul>
Desirable / Preferred Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>SAP environment experience:</li>
<li>Familiarity with SAP systems using Oracle (ECC, BW, PI, etc.)</li>
<li>Working knowledge of how Oracle integrates with SAP NetWeaver architecture</li>
<li>Ability to support SAP Basis teams in database-related operations (e.g., BR*Tools usage, SAP kernel patches, SAP database schema structure)</li>
<li>Experience supporting SAP upgrades and migrations involving Oracle.</li>
<li>Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.</li>
<li>Experience with Oracle on OCI / AWS RDS / Azure.</li>
<li>Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other RDBMS platforms.</li>
<li>Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines involving DB deployments.</li>
</ul>
Soft Skills:
<ul>
<li>Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.</li>
<li>Effective communication and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (SAP, Infra, Apps, Security).</li>
<li>Leadership experience in database projects and mentorship of junior DBAs.</li>
<li>Proactive, process-oriented mindset with strong documentation habits.</li>
<li>Availability for on-call and off-hours support during maintenance windows or go-lives.</li>
